This Week In Battle Rap
IS THIS THE END?????
This was a week of bodies. It seem every battle that came out this week somebody was getting 30’d by their opponent. Some of the battlers who lost this week have been veterans which pose the question: Is this the End for them? Have they finally ran out of steam. Do they need to take a break? Are they battling too much? There are many questions from this week battles. So let’s get to it.
First From URL Born Legacy Supreme event, Big T vs Mike P came out to everybody surprise. Mike P who has been on the come up going against a seasoned veteran like Big T. Mike p came out with a decent round but Big T first round was really lackluster. It seemed that Big T was not taking Mike P serious and it affected the whole battle. Mike P rallied thru it but this wasn’t his best performance either. This battle was hard to watch and definitely has no replay value.
Another battle that came out was from Url’s LA event Survivor series Stuey Newton vs Reepah Rell. Stuey who is from the west coast came with some fire bars in the beginning of his round but lost steam at the end. Reepah first round was crazy and really set the tone in this one. He was not affected at all by the crowd and to me even won the crowd over with his Oldhead Bars. Reepah edged every round even tho Stuey gave a pretty decent performance. I Hope Reepah keeps the same energy as he faces Funeralman aka Joker at SYIGU Halloween Havoc event.
RBE released Loso vs J Murda from Writers vol 1 and it was a clear body. Loso from Bullpen Battle League came with 3 treacherous rounds as the Christian battle rapper showed that his pen was godly going up against j Murda who seems to be declining every battle I seen him in this year. Loso definitely has more bars and out performed J Murda the whole battle. Loso is one to watch as he has a hard test coming up at Bullpen’s Fade 3 event going against B Dot.
DNA and K Shine battle all the time. They definitely keep NWX name in the mix. In doing so they might take on more than they can chew. Recent example of this is they matches on Captial Battlegrounds as DNA faced Murdock and Shine battled King Esco. Both fresh faces to the battle scene, Murdock and Esco came hard at DNA and Shine in they respective matches. Seems like DNA and Shine just battled these guys for a check. Is the money worth tarnishing your brand?
The Battle of the week has to go to Times vs Saynt on GZ Battles ( KOTD PG’s). These guys both gave a great performance with all types of name flips from Saynt and straight Bully rap from Times. Its definitely a must see. Check it out here and on Battlebox on FB.
