This Week In Battle Rap

JERSEY SHORE...

First let me say battle rap had a rough week with a incident at a recent RBE event where there was a fight between Goodz and Jimz. After the maylay, there was alot of speculation about RBE losing their venue Club Dram because of the fight. Some days past and it seems like both gentlemen have peace things up and according to Goodz, RBE will still have the venue which is very good to hear.

Also this week came with a very good suprise, TSU SURF IS HOME. He was released from jail earlier this week and everybody is talking about who they think he should battle first. I’m just glad to see him in good spirits and hope he gets things in order so he can hit that stage real soon. Stop Ducking him Murda Mook lol .

This was a very good week for NJ in battle rap. Some of the states best released battles this week and made noise. First battle was from URL’s Traffic 3 event, Shotgun Suge vs Ill Will. Newark , NJ own ShotGun Suge traveled to the West Coast to battle Pontiac, MI lyricist Ill Will. This battles was back and forth with disrespectful lines and haymakers. It was very close and entertaining.

Two of jersey’s own went up against each other in a classic North vs South match , Floss da Boss vs Spee Dolla. These two Mc’s came with intensity in this Trap NY match. Floss had a great performance with energetic bars . Spee Dolla known for his unorthodox style didnt dissapoint in this battle. This is defiently one to watch for.

This week i also seen the return of a philly great, Rosenberg Raw. He had a battle with another philly mc on the come up Gez La Flare. This battle was crazy as these two came with some hardcore lines and crazy bars to make any fan go crazy.

One controversial battle i seen this week was Calicoe vs Brizz Rawsteen off of SM6. This battle was a lil lackluster which was surprising coming from two of URL’s best battle rappers . In the first round Brizz came with a ok round that didnt really hit with the crowd but Calicoe who hasnt really battled much recently came with a fire first round. In the second, Brizz fought back with his usual disrespectful lines that made the crowd go ooooo. Cal second round was not as good as his first but the round that was weird for me was the third. I thought both mc’s didnt come wit they best and it was hard to judge this battle.

Dubb da Fenom vs R.I. 28 Grams also is a good battle to check out between two of the tri state’s best.

Ant brown vs Alec Flowin came out this week as well and is also a NJ vs Philly battle.

Charron vs Serious Jones also came out this week . Kotd world domination battle was fire between the two witty and legendary mc’s. But the battle of the week was Yung Griz vs Craig Lamar. This battle was fire between two young lyricists. You got to watch this one. Peep this battle and all the others on Battlebox on FB
