The New Craze . Online battling is it a part of Battle Rap Culture?

The New Craze.
Online battling is it a part of Battle Rap Culture?
I was on Facebook one day and I came across a group called B.A.R.S Battle League. So I decided to join thinking it was a regular battle group but oh how wrong was I. This particular group did something a little different. It primary focus was on Online Battling. Online battles consist of a MC posting a video of him going at his opponent thru a 2 minute video. Pretty Different than an actual live battle but staying true to the formula of competitiveness. This rose my level of curiosity as I watch each MC video. The Idea hit me like maybe I can do this too. So after a couple of trolling videos, I had my first battle with a guy that had my same first name (How Ironic lol). He really took it serious and it made me get serious as well. It was fun and it took a little pressure off too than being live. I also see this as a way to gain some interest from a battle league to see that I have bars and maybe book an actual live battle. Since then I had 3 battles and gain some respect in this group and others like Ultimate Bar Fight and SpitChaBarz. It’s been a lot of fun. My question to the Battle Rap Community, Is this a respected Form of Battling? Can it become Popular? Would you take any interest in this form of battling? Let me know what yall think? And check the bottom for some of my battles and others..

This week in battle rap.. Blockbuster with the returns..

This Week In Battle Rap
BLOCKBUSTER With The Returns…..
Hey. I’m back this week with another review and let me tell you guys I’m very excited about some upcoming events. Two Big URL events this month was recently announced. Double Impact 2, where some of the best battlers team up for 2 on 2 battles and Ascension, an event with some big names coming back to the main stage. Names like Tone Montana, Real Deal, Cortez and Rich Imnice (formally Rich Dollas).
To get ready for these events I went to do my research and watched some battles that featured some of these battlers. Snake Eyes who is facing Tone Montana at Ascension had a really good one round battle recently on SYIGU against Easy the Block Captain from Philly. This battle was close but I gave it to Snake eyes because of his performance. Plus I felt Easy rapped way too long. Good battle to watch very entertaining.
Real Deal is also a vet who is coming back to URL. I watched his match with Soul on Don’t Flop. This battle was filled with wit and jokes as both mc’s played to that angle but I felt Soul edged it with more aggression in his bars. Real Deal will have to be more of a presence if he wants to win his match with Reepah Rell who is coming off a pretty good performance against Gutta.
There was plenty of good battles to see this week. C low vs SG was impressive. This Trap NY battle had all types of crazy bars and schemes to make any fan jump out they seat. SG had a lot to prove and defiantly stood his ground. C low was just a little more seasoned so I say he edged it. This is a debatable battle to say the least. J morr vs ZigZag was a one rounder with a lot of tension. This Body Bag Battle League match had plenty of star battlers in attendance (jakkboy Maine, drugz, NJ twork, Glueasy) as these two faced off in an intense exchange. Zigzag edged it with some more powerful angles but J Morr showed he can hang with the best.
My favorite battles this week came from my favorite League right now WEGOHARD TV. Sonny got bars vs Scotty Good has a heavy hitting battle. Both Mc’s came with up in your face bars that had me saying that they going fight at the end of this. Hardcore bars and straight to the point punches sum this battle up. I had Scotty 2-1 but this is a debatable battle because Sonny is looking like a crowd favorite. Presidential Dubz vs Ish Mulah was so official. This is what I like to see in a battle. Both of these guys are on my watch this year because they both came so hard at each other. All the rounds in this battle was good. Nowadays that is hard to say. I had Ish pulling away at the end but it was a great showcase for both Mc’s. They both need a URL look.
I almost forgot. One of the most anticipated battles of the year came out this week. T Rex Vs K Shine. Once squad members of Dot Mob, K shine a Leader of NWX and T Rex a staple of Dot Mob squared off in a personal battle of brothers going at it. In the first round Rex really try to explain how he thought they relationship got to this point. It was his best round by far. K Shine was in rare form from the beginning coming at T Rex with a fury of punches and flows that amazed the crowd. It was like he wanted to show Rex that he was on top now and I said he proved just that. By the second Round the crowd was yelling 3-0 Shine. To me it was a Clear 3-0 Body. Rex might need to chill a while from this. On top of this footage it’s a rumor that Dot Mob leader Murda Mook isn’t too happy with rex at this point either so we have to keep an eye on this situation. Best K Shine I seen in a while. This is the Battle of the week. Salute and have a good week. EASY…

This Week in Battle Rap. Let's Eat.. These Battles are Cooking

This Week In Battle Rap

Let’s Eat… These Battles Are Cooking..

Hey everybody it’s your boy Mill$ here with the battles to watch for this week. There was some real good matches that came this week. There was some surprise battles that defiantly surpass expectations which is a good thing. Mc’s stepping their game up, Crafting bars that are captivating audiences. Superb Performances took shape this week, making it a very good couple of days for the culture.
The first battle was a 2 on 2 between Marv Won and Quest Mccody vs Carter Deems and Chedda Cheese on Blackout 7 a KOTD Event. In the first Round Marv and Quest came out with a lot of jokes, trying to match the wit of their opponents but bars didn’t land with the crowd. Carter and Cheese stuck to the game plan and even with a couple stumbles I gave them the first and third rounds. Marv and Quest looked a little confused on how they wanted to approach this battle. Clever Lines and wordplay was evident in this battle. It will defiantly make you laugh if nothing else.
The second battle I watched was a one rounder on RBE. C Low vs Steve Staples was a lyrical grudge match. Both Mc’s showed that they can hang with any of the RBE roster. C Low a NJ Gas Gang representative is on my radar as a up and coming Battle Rapper. This Kid has talent as showcased here as I had him edging the battle.
Speaking of Jersey Mc’s, Dre Dennis been on a battle rap tour, with an assault on the game with battle after battle. He has defiantly picked up his work load. Three Battles from the Jersey Star came out this week and an announcement that he is joining the U Dubb Network. One battle I watched was his Trap NY Battle with OT Seven. THIS WAS A BODYBAG. Dre Dennis Killed his opponent with continuous Seven Name Flips. He showed that he is a problem and one to watch this year as one of the best.
Two battles that were entertaining from new names in the game was Fis the Beast vs Ghost (Powerhouse battle league) and Twayne vs Kash Oanly . In the Fis vs Ghost battle both Mc’s was going in but Fis the Beast really went hard and impressed me. In Twayne vs Kash, Twayne tore his adversary up with some Gut Wrenching Punch Lines and Hard Schemes. Both Battles kept me entertained.
The Battle of the week to me was between two Ladies on the rise, Torture and Looney Barz. These women were not playing in this battle. Dope Lines and cadence stood tall in this battle. It would’ve been a classic if Looney Barz didn’t stumble in her last round. Nevertheless these two will defiantly be in the mix. This Battle was fire… check it out on BattleBox on FB and at the end of this post. Salute to the Culture and I’ll talk to yall next week.. EASY

iBattleTV- GS v Luminous - RAP BATTLE

Luminious is a problem defiently one the come up peep his one round on I Battle

This Week in Battle Rap.. I'm Back...

This Week in Battle Rap..

I’m Back……..

Hey everybody. Im back at it after a little hiatus. In 5 months the whole battle rap culture has changed and totally evolved. There’s been plenty of high profile battles that shook the culture up and a couple that was hyped up that didn’t live up to expectations. Battle Rap has expanded quickly with a plethora of new faces that we are excited about. Then there is veterans who are looking to come back to get the respect they feel they are not getting.
T-Top vs. Tsu Surf was lackluster to say the least. It started crazy but towards the end it seemed both mc’s were going thru the motions. Speaking of Tsu Surf, I must say Free Surf. I hope he gets out and continues to be a staple in this game. Arsonal vs. Brizz Rawstein showed the changing of the guard with Brizz completely smoking a not motivated Arsonal. A More recent battle that was disappointing was Serius Jones vs. Dizaster. Serius dismantles a weird acting Dizaster making me think that maybe it might be over for Dizaster. Mr. Wavy vs. Bill Collector was more like a performance battle than a rap one. Bars was really light in this one.
On the other note there been battles that was very impressive and entertaining. Giving you nonstop bars and creating that feeling that we all fell in love with. Ave vs Chess was a bar fest between two up and coming heavyweights of URL. Chess have been on a tear with crazy battles with Ave, Th3 Saga and more recent Tay Roc (Can’t wait to see the footage of this one). Ave also had a battle with O-Red at BL5. O- Red showed out at his comeback to the URL stage. He is defiantly slept on as one of the best battlers.
Tay Roc vs Rum Nitty was a gun barfest. The Gun Bar King vs The Gun Line King did not disappoint. Both came with crazy lines in this tense battle. Crowd Favorite Nu Jerzy Twork been on fire since his debut on URL. With a win over a top gunner in Glueasy and crazy 3-0  battle with Vet Qleen Paper, Twork is showing he is on his way to being a top tier battle rapper.
In This Battle of the week it features two of the more lyrically compose Mc’s in battle rap JC and Chef Trez. A Born Legacy 5 battle, JC vs. Chef Trez was Fire… A Barfest from beginning to End. JC coming off a great battle vs. Craig Lamar on RBE, returned to URL on a rampage, Showing that his pen is defiantly top 5. Chef Trez been on the come up and fresh off his battles with Mike P and Ryda, Trez is one to look out for as one of the best new age battlers. In the First Round both mc’s impressed. I thought Jc edged it with his presence and flow. The second Round went to trez with his rebuttals and JC flips. The Third is debatable. Both Mc’s was wigging like a basketball wife.. Check this battle out and others I mentioned in this blog and join us on Battlebox group on FB..
