Online battling is it a part of Battle Rap Culture?
I was on Facebook one day and I came across a group called B.A.R.S Battle League. So I decided to join thinking it was a regular battle group but oh how wrong was I. This particular group did something a little different. It primary focus was on Online Battling. Online battles consist of a MC posting a video of him going at his opponent thru a 2 minute video. Pretty Different than an actual live battle but staying true to the formula of competitiveness. This rose my level of curiosity as I watch each MC video. The Idea hit me like maybe I can do this too. So after a couple of trolling videos, I had my first battle with a guy that had my same first name (How Ironic lol). He really took it serious and it made me get serious as well. It was fun and it took a little pressure off too than being live. I also see this as a way to gain some interest from a battle league to see that I have bars and maybe book an actual live battle. Since then I had 3 battles and gain some respect in this group and others like Ultimate Bar Fight and SpitChaBarz. It’s been a lot of fun. My question to the Battle Rap Community, Is this a respected Form of Battling? Can it become Popular? Would you take any interest in this form of battling? Let me know what yall think? And check the bottom for some of my battles and others..
